Emina has more than five years of experience in project management in the Western Balkans. Previously our Senior Program Associate for GIF Serbia, Emina has rejoined the GIF team as Communications Coordinator. Before joining Internews, Emina worked for a Belgrade-based think tank as a Project Coordinator and Researcher, working on EU and regional projects related to the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans, democracy, security, human rights, media freedom and corruption. Prior to that, she worked as the News Editor of the regional portal that reports on the development of the EU’s enlargement policy.
Emina holds an LL.M. in International Human Rights from Central European University in Hungary, which included thesis research on freedom of expression and media pluralism. She also holds an LL.B. in Law from John Naisbitt University in Serbia, with a thesis focusing on EU Competition Policy.
